HERITAGE EVENT – The Sophie Pemberton Tea

Oak Bay Rec Centre Number 1 Again

Congratulations to the staff, the Oak Bay Parks and Recreation Commission and to all the volunteers who help made Oak Bay Rec Centre number one and best in Greater Victoria  again this year and second in the swimming pool category.  As Janet Barclay, Manager of Oak Bay’s Recreation Programs says, “Just wait until we add our climbing wall!”  She adds that Entrance Park was also listed as one of Greater Victoria’s to ten “hidden gems.”

Highlights of June 16 Special Council Meeting and Committee of the Whole

Special Council Meeting At a Special Council Meeting held an hour before the Committee of the Whole Meeting, Council completed its deliberations and voted on five edits to the second OCP draft, put forward by Councillor Kevin Murdoch at the June 9th Council Meeting.  Councillor Murdoch’s submissions followed a comprehensive presentation by consultant Catherine Berris.  Council sat until midnight that night so it was agreed by everyone that we would review and deliberate Councillor Murdoch’s submission at a Special Council…
