Official Community Plan (OCP) Renewal Community Consultations Bloom this Spring

DSC02147

This spring will be a busy time for the community and for those involved with the OCP Renewal project, with two Open Houses scheduled for May 25, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Windsor Pavilion and June 4, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, and a series of Visioning Workshops for May 28 and 29 offered at various times on various topics, held in Municipal Council Chambers.

All sessions will be facilitated by consultant Catherine Berris, with the assistance of municipal staff, OCP Advisory Committee volunteers and Council members.  Please watch for OB News advertisements and for posted notices at local gathering places throughout the community.  Important information will have the “Choosing Our Future” banner, outlining details about open houses, workshops and related activities.

For those who cannot attend the visioning workshops, there will be opportunities to participate via a written submission, either online at oakbayocp@oakbay.ca or by mail addressed to Oak Bay Municipal Hall, 2167 Oak Bay Ave.

These will all be exciting events designed for you to help determine the future direction of Oak Bay so, please make a point of participating whenever you can.  I look forward to seeing you during the consultation and if you would like more information, please let me know and/or be sure to visit the Oak Bay website and click on the link oakbayocp@oakbay.ca

Remember that the success of a new Oak Bay Official Community Plan depends on you.  Thank you.
