I attended a media launch on February 14 at Doncaster Elementary School in Saanich, to showcase the CRD’s two new educational resources for grades 2, 3, 4 and 5, designed to engage teachers and students in learning about and taking action on important environmental issues.  The two resources are “Every Drop Counts” and “Climate Change Showdown.”  Other locally elected officials also attended with CRD staff and it was a pleasure to watch students interacting with each other and with their teachers using these significant resources.  Kudos to CRD staff, School District #61 and students and staff of Doncaster Elementary School!  With the development and use of such learning tools, our environment will be in good hands for the future.
