WE REMEMBER AND WE WILL NOT FORGET – November 11th, 2012

On August 20, 1940, Prime Minister Winston Churchill marked the end of the Battle of Britain during WWII with a hallmark speech, during which he said:

“Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.”

This is a poignant reminder of not only the great sacrifices during the Battle of Britain but the tremendous sacrifices Canadian troops made then and in other conflicts around the world and continue to make now, on our behalf.

We will remember them once again during “the 11th month, on the 11th day, at the 11th hour,” at Cattle Point in Oak Bay and in locations throughout the region.
