“Falling” Out of Summer

Where did summer go?  It seemed shorter this year than past years and I will miss the garden, the hours outside and the chance to spend more relaxed time with family and friends.

September is gearing up to be a busy month and I will be attending or participating in the following meetings/events:

  • Greater Victoria Labour Relations Board meeting September 5
  • Council Meeting September 10 at 7:00 PM
  • CRD Arts Committee meeting September 12
  • Sierra Club event (tour of Anderson Hill and the Garry Oak stand) with reception to follow September 13
  • Charity car wash at “Our Place” on Pandora Ave. (invited to participate by Victoria City Councillor Charlayne Thornton-Joe) September 15
  • Uplands Land Use Committee site visit September 17
  • Heritage Foundation and Commission meetings September 18
  • Business Improvement Association meeting September 18 (for Councillor Tara Ney)
  • UBCM Annual Convention, September 24 – 28, Victoria – attending a variety of workshops and events
  • UVic 50th Anniversary Celebration September 29

Hoping your summer was restful and just plain fun too.  Looking forward to a busy fall and winter ahead working on your behalf.
