Once again, artists from our Oak Bay community and beyond gathered to show and sell their work along the shady banks of Bowker Creek. There are many talented artists of all ages who are working in a variety of mediums and the public who attended were clearly impressed.
Congratulations to all the artists who took the time to share their work and skill with the public and thanks to the organizers for making the Brush Up possible. I also appreciated stopping in to the Rotary tent where hot dogs with all the trimmings were offered in exchange for a nominal donation and to the Community Association of Oak Bay, for their contribution display of the new Oak Bay Green Map, also made available to the public who visited the Association’s table.
Bowker Creek is a wonderful venue for all kinds of community activities and the vision of restoring the creek and dovetailing improvements to the area with the new Oak Bay High School, bode well for Bowker Creek’s future and its value as a great community asset.
