Don Descoteau, Editor, Oak Bay News has asked those of us in touch with residents to spread the word about an Oak Bay News initiative designed to promote greater community engagement, using their presence online through Facebook. Don writes:
Wanted to touch base with you on an initiative we are working on to try and engage Oak Bay residents and others in community conversations in a broader way, through our Facebook page.
As such, we are encouraging folks we know who talk to a lot of people in the community to “like” us on Facebook, as well as feel free to post news items or comments to the page about initiatives or activities that are of interest to the community.
We are trying to post things every day to the page and are starting to build the readership, in conjunction with our website www.oakbaynews.com.
