  • Saturday, November 16, 2013 – 8th Annual Fall Silent Auction, sponsored by the Oak Bay Parent-Owned Preschool Auction, in the upper hall of St. Mary’s Church, above the preschool.  For details, please visit their website at http://www.oakbaypreschool.com
  • December 14, 2013 is the deadline for applications by residents to the Victoria Regional Transit Commission, to serve on the Accessible Transportation Advisory Committee, that provides advice to the Commission and BC Transit, related to accessible transportation and custom transit issues.  For details and to obtain an application form, please call 250-419-5903.
  • Saturday, November 23, 2013 – the CRD hosts another half day Forum of Councils’ session on regional housing titled “The Journey to Home.”  I will be attending with Oak Bay Council colleagues.
  • Tuesday, November 26, 2013 – I will join Oak Bay Police Constable Julie Chanin for a ride-along, to get a bird’s eye view of community policing in Oak Bay and of Constable Chanin’s work as School Liaison Officer.  Constable Chanin builds positive working relationships with local schools, students and their families to bring a greater understanding of policing in Oak Bay.  I look forward to spending a day with Constable Chanin and my thanks go to the Oak Bay Police Department and Constable Chanin for accommodating my request to “ride along.”
