Neighbourhood Meeting Postponed Until September – Date, Time and Place TBA

PLANNING ON OAK BAY COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION’S AGENDA

I was pleased to be invited to attend and speak at the Community Association of Oak Bay’s AGM April 6th, where the focus of this year’s meeting was community planning and Oak Bay’s Official Community Plan (OCP) renewal process. Keynote speaker was freelance urban planner Kelly Gesner, who provided an inside look at community planning and the OCP process generally. Attending and listening for me was a great primer to what our Oak Bay community will be involved in through…

OB POLICE SHARES NEW STRATEGIC PLAN

I attended a special joint Police Board/Council meeting on March 26, to review and talk about the Oak Bay Police Department’s 2013-2017 Strategic Plan, completed and introduced in February 2013.  The Plan represents “an extensive internal and community consultation process”  designed to serve as a “road map” or guide to the future development of our police services. What I appreciated about the Plan was not only the information provided, but also the Core Values upon which the Plan and the…
